Atlas Rotation Exercise Left

Atlas Rotation Exercise Left

Atlas Rotation Exercise Right

This exercise is easy to do, but affects one of the most important bones in your neck. It’s no coincidence this bone is called the atlas. It is responsible for ensuring the equal distribution of the force of gravity to every single other bone in your spine, and a subluxation in your atlas can affect many important spinal nerves relating to posture & muscle control.

Place your hand above your ear, with your elbow out and your thumb down in front of your ear. Let your head turn slowly, as far as you can without any pain or discomfort, and then resist against your hand as you hold this position. Make sure to keep your chin up!

Perform this exercise for five seconds, ten times, twice a day.
