Dr Joe’s Comments on Nutrition and Wellness

First of all when it comes to nutrition it is not what you eat but what your body actually absorbs. This is important because many cheaper products do not even break down in your stomach and intestines and they get passed out when you go to the bathroom.

If they are a high quality product, which can be broken down by your body, and your cells are in a stressed/ fight or flight state the cells cannot absorb the nutrients. This is one of the many reasons to get adjusted regularly.

People very often ask me about different nutritional products that I use to maintain optimal health. The answer is very few. I do think nutrition is very important. Especially with all of the nutrient deprived toxic food we consume in modern life. First I try to eat as much organic food as possible and plenty of raw (uncooked fruit and vegetables). This is made easier with products from the Whole Food Farmacy.

There are a few very important nutrients that most of us don’t get enough of and I think everyone could benefit from if they took more of.

The first is Omega 3 fatty acids and the second is Alkalizing Powdered greens.

There are lots of different products out there but I recommend Neptune Krill Oil because they have had all the toxins in regular fish oils removed. And give you more long chain omega 3’s without consuming as many calories as you would with vegetables sources like Flax seed oil. (More on Omega 3 Fatty Acids)

The second is Alkalizing Powdered Greens. (Available in the office) NewGreens™ – has been exclusively formulated by Dr. Chad Larson to address the antioxidant power of increased fruit and vegetable intake. Additionally, our unique formula contains the botanicals essential for cell regeneration, immune system enhancement and balance. The catalyst for all of this is our synergistic enzyme blend. Finally, our fiber and probiotic formulations ensure optimal digestive health and detoxification. Read More

There are certainly more nutritional needs but I feel these are two things that will make a significant difference in everyone’s life.
